Netball – Match Preview

9th March 2010

Nottingham University’s Netball Teams have had a very successful 2009/10 season so far. The first team made it to the playoffs for promotion to the top division but were eventually beaten by a very strong Durham side.

Interview with some of the 1st team:

The club as a whole have fared favourably, all teams have defeated Trent home and away with the fifth team beating both their thirds and fourths and the second team winning by twenty goals.

However all form goes out of the window when it comes to the unpredictable Varsity series and club captain Charlotte Cousins is under no illusions that Trent will be a serious threat in this winner takes all tie.

But the 1st team girls feel that the two playoff games forced them to raise their game and that as such they possess too much ability in all areas of the court for Trent to deal with.

If the Netball Team go on to win this game they will put Nottingham University in a commanding 4-1 lead in the 2010 C.R.Y Varsity series. Here’s to hoping they do!

Date: Wednesday 10th March
