Saturday Sport Show 20-10-12

20th October 2012

In this episode of the Saturday Sport Show Gaffers, Luke, Chris, Rob & Simon discussed a wide range of subjects, starting with the fallout in road cycling from Lance Armstrong’s doping allegations.

We then gave our take on the weekend’s Heineken Cup fixtures, with Connacht vs Harlequins looking like the cream of the games on offer. We couldn’t not mention legendary Dutch midfielder Edgar David’s return to football (again!) for Barnet, even if we did end up wallowing in nostalgia. And then we gave our predictions for Notts County and Nottingham Forest’s chances in their games today.

On a much less jovial note, the Sport Team then gave our views on Chelsea’s decision to retain John Terry as club captain in the wake of his racism charges, as well as the disgraceful scenes at Sheffield Wednesday vs Leeds on Friday night.

To conclude, we rounded off the show with our preview of the weekend’s Premiership football fixtures. Much to Simon’s dismay we didn’t rate Liverpool very highly, although we expect big things of Fulham.
