24th November 2012

In this week’s episode of The Saturday Sport Show Simona, Rob, Luke and Simon started by discussing the final race of a fascinating F1 season, in Brazil and we gave our opinions on how the championship will pan out. The England Cricket team are faring a little better in the 2nd Test out in India and the panel dissect the team changes that seem to be making a difference as well as our thoughts on the outcome of the match.

The Rugby Autumn Internationals are in full swing with the home nations looking to bounce back from a disappointing set of results last weekend. The team preview the England, Ireland and Wales games, arguing what needs to happen to bring a little more success to the Northern Hemisphere this weekend. Ricky Hatton’s iminent return to the boxing ring tonight against a tough Ukranian fighter is talked about as the team give our views on what will happen.

Next, we gave the lowdown on Nottingham’s two Football League clubs as both Forest and County face pivotal, tough games at 3pm. We place the games in the wider context of the season and discuss Forest’s loan signing of Aston Villa right back Alan Hutton as well as County’s admirable football philosophy.

In the final segment, the team chat about Harry Redknapp’s appointment as Mark Hughes’ successor at QPR. Can ‘Arry save the R’s troubled season? Finally, in the usual weekly manner, the team give our inevitably incorrect predictions on the day’s Premier League football and Aston Villa once again got nothing but disdain from the panel.
