URN’s Sound of Nottingham (27th October)

28th October 2014

Every week, the team from URN After Dark’s Under the Radar select a track for our lovely colleagues to play on their Daytime shows. We have put a specific emphasis on promoting local talent from Nottingham across all genres, that we at URN are keen to support as much as possible through featuring them on our Sound of Nottingham. Consider this our way of helping you discover the very best in new music spanning all genres!

THIS WEEK’S SOUND OF NOTTINGHAM

Our Sound of Nottingham for this week comes from none other than April Towers with their brand new single, Arcadia. Made up of Alex Noble and Charlie Burley, the duo have had an incredible year. Known for their infectious charisma and startling quality in their live performances, along with their truly unique sound, it seems only fitting that Arcadia was released on Monday 27th October as their debut single. With their first headline show at The Bodega in Nottingham on the 6th November on the horizon, it’s clear to see that the boys are destined for big things! The track combines sweeping piano and synth riffs with Alex’s perfectly fitted voice to create a song sounding like the real deal. It’s catchy, fantastically produced and impossible not to sing along to!

If that’s not enough, Alex and Charlie themselves will be coming into the URN Studios to takeover URN After Dark on Wednesday 29th October between 7-9pm playing a selection of their favourite tunes. Certainly one not to miss!

As always, you can catch Arcadia being played on Daytime Shows across URN this week, so make sure you take a listen. We promise you won’t regret it!
