Olympics revamp, doping and West Ham flying high

9th December 2014

This Tuesday’s URN Sport saw David joined by Paddy, Adam and James. As the IOC announced plans to drop its 28-sport cap on the summer Games and to make the bidding process cheaper for potential host cities, the panel offered their thoughts on the revamp.

The boys also discussed doping after a German television documentary claimed to present evidence of systematic doping and corruption in Russian sport. The Russia Athletics Federation’s president has rejected those claims as “a pack of lies”.

As the show moved on to focus on the weekend’s Premier League results, West Ham’s start to the season – and how sustainable it is – was debated.

Finally, the panel chatted about Manchester City and Liverpool ahead of their midweek Champions League clashes.

URN Sport will be back this Thursday from 6pm with all the latest university sports coverage.
