O’Sullivan’s shoes, Pacquiao v Mayweather and Anderson the record-breaker

10th May 2015

Simon was joined by David and Chris last week to discuss the big sports stories of the day. They began with the snooker World Championship and Ronnie O’Sullivan’s strange antics. The 39-year-old played one match in his socks and was given a warning after making a ‘lewd’ gesture during his second-round clash with Matthew Stevens.

Simon then asked whether Floyd Mayweather v Manny Pacquiao, billed as the fight of the century, could see Mayweather judged as the greatest boxer of all-time.

A currently rare English cricket win naturally made it onto URN Sport’s agenda. James Anderson broke Sir Ian Botham’s record as England’s highest Test wicket-taker with his 384th dismissal.

Finally, Simon, Chris and David reflected on Bournemouth and Watford’s promotion to the Premier League.
