The candidates for the 2014 Student Leader Elections have been announced! 58 candidates are running for the seven full-time roles and seven part-time roles (up from 45 last year). These candidates are running to represent you within the Students’ Union, with all elected full-time officers being paid throughout their time in office.

The candidates for the seven full-time Student Leader positions are:

This is the second year that full-time officers have been allowed to run for a second term, with Tom Hicks, currently Sports Officer now running to be President.

The current part-time Environment and Social Justice Officer, Mike Olatokun, is running, for the second year, for Community Officer.

The current LGBT Officer, Jack Benjamin Salter, is running for President.

Johnny Lawrence is running for President for the second year.

The only candidates for Women’s Officer, Emma Ehrenberg and Beth Searby, are running for job share, continuing the tradition of the current Women’s Officers.

There are also seven part-time roles being elected this semester and the candidates are:

The results will be announced on Elections Night, on Friday 14th March.
