Eric Prydz Blows Away Crasher

posted 07.03.10 at 3:17pm 8 comments

Eric Prydz delivered on Saturday, pure and simple. 3 months ago he welcomed in the new decade headlining the Ministry of Sound O2 Arena gig. He is being billed as the 3rd biggest name to play the Saturday night at Ultra Festival, which kicks off in two weeks time in Miami and looks to be the biggest dance music festival to happen this year. He’s on the front cover of this months DJ mag. And last saturday he headlined a Saturday night at Gatecrasher Nottingham. Not entirely sure what the biggest achievement there is.

Being by far the biggest act the newly launched Fade Saturday night at Gatecrasher has for the next few months, the night had to deliver to encourage people back. With Funkagenda and Vitalic over the next two weeks, they lack the mainstream pulling power that your Prydz or Calvin Harris (30th May) have, so there was a lot pressure for Crasher to pull off a strong night.

DONAEOOOO, DONAEOOOOOO. Personally my favourite UKfunky/Dance music artist at the moment. This is one of my very first interviews on URN. After searching high and low for a copy to post up, this was the only one I could find.

Enjoy..

Bollywood Valentines Special

The show on Sat 13th was the perfect opportunity for us to showcase what bollywood music is truly about, especially with it being a valentines special.
The majority bollywood music is based around the 'love theme' and there have truly been some great tracks over the times..Check out the playlist for the show from Sat 13th which included some of our favourite bollywood love songs.

Also you can check out the video from our personal favourite bollywood love song below from the movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, its called 'Tujhe dekha to ye jana sanam'. The movie featuring one of the best bollywood on screen pairings being Sharukh Khan and Kajol.

Additionally with the theme being bollywood love songs, the audience were very active with requests and some songs that even we hadnt heard in a long time, most notably one from 1942 A love story, called 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To', check out the video below, classic bollywood!

The stuff you never get to hear. After co-hosting the show with DJ Em, Vamp stayed behind a bit longer than anticipated recording an I-dent for DJ Em

Last show went terrifically well so thank's to all who listened.
Excited for next week, as hopefully will have some big interviews with a lot of the bands playing the NME awards tour so tune in for that. I've posted some links to some of the bands playing below in case anyone wants to check them out,
