The next topic was the England cricket team who lost the third one-day international against New Zealand at Southampton.

England beat Slovenia 3-2 on Sunday in their latest Euro 2016 qualifier. The boys discussed the match.

Finally, the panel chatted about the Copa America.

The Tuesday edition of URN Sport will be back in September. Tune in on Thursday from 6-7pm for two special reports on transgender exclusion from football, and mental welfare in sport.

Thanks to Simon for hosting the show throughout the year, and the many sports team members who have panelled.

NTU 141-5, UoN 143-6

Cricket post-match interview:

The University of Nottingham rounded off a victorious Varsity series on Friday with a win in the cricket at Clifton Campus.

A beautiful sunny day helped to attract a healthy crowd of 700-800 people as Trent batted first. The home side started brightly, and it took until the 16th over for Uni of to take their second wicket. That however was the beginning of a late flurry of wickets as NTU went from 119/1 to a final score of 141/5.

UoN lost batsmen more quickly than their hosts, finding themselves 59/3 at one point, but always maintained a satisfactory run-rate to reach their attainable target of 142 with 3 overs to spare.
