- The privatisation of public services, with a particular focus on Michael Gove's plans to take certain child protection functions out of State hands.

Kieron hosts the penultimate Big Picture of the Spring Term, first broadcast on the 2nd April 2014. The panel discussed the debates between Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage over the European Union, the recent heavy losses for the governing Socialists in the recent French elections, and the "Books for Prisoners" scandal engulfing the Ministry of Justice.

Matt chairs this edition of the Big Picture, originally aired on the 5th March 2014. The panel discuss Russia's intervention in Ukraine's revolution, reforms to trade unions' membership of the Labour Party, and the SU's performance in the light of the upcoming elections season for next year's executive.

The panel discusses the growing unrest in Ukraine, the Daily Mail's campaign against Harriet Harman over her historic links through the National Council for Civil Liberties with the Paedophilia Information Exchange; and the coming showdown between Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage over Britain's EU membership.
