Nottingham University Women’s football club looked to end six long years of Varsity heartache in their match with Nottingham Trent’s representative XI at Notts County’s Meadow Lane ground. Coming off the back of some slightly disrupted but overly successful preparations, they took to the pitch in high spirits, confident that they could indeed overcome their poor previous record and notch up another point for Nottingham University in the series.

The eyes of CRY Charity Varsity 2010 now turn to Varsity Football which is at Meadow Lane this Monday! With the series standing 5-4 in Trent's favour; Uni have to fight back! It's now or never and URN will be there to bring you live coverage & text updates of the game from 7pm on 22nd March.

This season promised to be an exciting new start for NUWFC following promotion the previous season. After saying goodbye to the majority of the 1st team who graduated, the club was in need of recruiting some new blood into the squad. We were not disappointed.
