posted 31.05.15 at 5:43pm

Hello, and welcome to another edition of The Popular Table!

In part 1, our panel (David, Mike, Ibi, Felix, and Victoria) discuss the cancellation of Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Tyler James Williams' meetings with Marvel, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, and how Chris Pratt responds to outrage culture.

In part 2, our pop culture analysts examine Simon Pegg's blog post about geek culture and ask "does this infantilize consumers?" Following this, they discuss whether or not the Game of Thrones TV show values its female characters.

In the final segment of this week's show, in Ibi's corner, our gang of pop culture aficionados look at Game of Thrones' Faith Militant and how their actions simultaneously perpetuate left and right wing ideologies.

And that's all for this week! Clips are from Never Mind The Buzzcocks, an interview with Tyler James Williams, the 1970s Wonder Woman TV show, a Kenner Star Wars ad from the 1970s, and a Game of Thrones season five promo.
