Manifesto

My manifesto is for the position of Postgraduate Officer that some may pursue for commission; rather I pursue the very same with a vision. This vision is built based on open hearted interactions with contemporaries of various nationalities and background. This cocktail of reactions to the modus operandi in the university has set me on a mission to further relax the confines of the academic pursuit of students.

As an international student studying for my masters in Molecular Genetics and Diagnostics, I have had the privilege of serving as course representative with team spirit. Tactically, in that capacity, I have dealt with course related issues faced by students, liaising with staff and school’s management.

Putting to good use my experience and passion, aspects of our academic experience I am ready to address are highlighted below.

Manifesto points/Objectives

Ensuring improvements in funding opportunities for all postgraduate students. Accessing adequate funds in order to pursue a postgraduate degree is an issue several potential postgraduates are faced with. I look to exploring avenues that that would ensure that the financial burden experienced by postgraduates is significantly reduced.
Bridging the gap between the gulf of academic and work transition by implementing further mentorship in specialisation interests of students.
Make existing communication channels/networks between postgraduates and the university more visible and efficient.
As postgraduate officer, I would endeavour to ensure that these objectives and other issues that touch on postgraduate students are effectively resolved. Beyond giving me a chance, give me your hand as we walk to better days.
