About Me

During my time at the University I have been a member of 5 different sports, ranging from sports I have played for many years and was delighted to continue, and new sports that I had never tried and was given great support in learning.
In the last 2 years I have gained experience from my role as Treasurer and Men’s Captain in Table Tennis, positions that have given me a valuable insight into how sport is run in the University, and provided me the desire to be more involved.

Manifesto

• Participation
o Increase overall numbers of students regularly playing sport
o Promote IMS leagues and organisations such as NU2Sport

• Intra-Mural Sport
o Improve delivery of IMS and expand if possible
o Greater publicity and support, especially in the first few weeks

• Elite Sport
o Support our competitive teams in BUCS and other arenas, so we can be known as a premier destination for both academic studies and sporting excellence.
o Continue to provide greater protection and provision for BUCS athletes competing on Wednesdays

• Satellite Campuses
o Ensure that their voices and views are heard, and attempt to incorporate fairly with the main campus so they are provided with the best opportunities available.

• Awareness
o Raise awareness of all students to the high levels achieved by University teams
o Introduce an easily accessible weekly overview of all the week’s matches
o Discuss the potential for a news section and match reports from selected games
