Manifesto

I am currently IMS chair so have worked closely with the SU and Sports Exec giving me a great amount of knowledge and experience regarding the university’s sport structure. I was elected as vice captain of the UoN Women’s Football 2nd team in 2012/2013. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a student at Nottingham for 3 years and sport has played a major role in this for me, I would love to contribute to others sharing a similar experience.

• Introduce hall cluster reps – a representative for a group of halls who will support JCR sports secs and week one reps in promotion of sport.

• Increase participation and engagement for smaller clubs, working with committees to ensure representation is equal across the board.

• Continue to further support satellite campuses in the universities sport structure, introducing online sports forums.

• Introduce broadcasting of live UoN sport in Mooch/online – working with NUTS, URN and IMPACT.

• Work to improve kit provision for BUCS and IMS, including introducing a catalogue and sizing samples.

• Address the coaching and SU sports grant by assessing distribution and giving guidance around how to implement good coaching.

• Work with networks and societies to increase opportunity and engagement in sport, whilst considering the wide variety of individual/group needs.

• Develop a more transparent, web-based tool to allow students to see facility availability and increase flexibility on bookings.
